And in the early days of the treaty of Rome the ECJ looked at the jurisdiction it had taken and saw that it was good.

And lo it began to develop and to dominate all manner of areas. Thus a great commotion came to the member states and they were afraid. “Hark” said the member states, “We have given you this authority and tho shall not use it in such way”.

The ECJ was angry, and a so it began a great smiting. All manner of remedies did spring forth and the member states cowered away in fear.

And the ECJ looked at the remedies it had created and the jurisdiction it had taken and it saw that it was good.
